The Protest continues to be one of our most popular models. A true hybrid powder ski, it has the ability to slash and pivot in the deepest snow, yet still hold an edge on the groomers on the way down to the lift. The Protest features a five dimensions sidecut and recurve molding to add a little camber to the shape, adding the necessary edge to handle firmer conditions.

For our latest innovation to this legendary powder ski we have implemented our new stage two rocker profile into the Protest.  The rocker line has been adjusted to rise slightly higher and faster giving the ski more pivot and float well better matching the rocker profile to the modified 5 point sidecuts tip and tail tapers.

The Standard Edition Protest is offered in a #3 flex with Enduro; maple, ash and aspen core and ambrosia maple veneer top.

    Amazing skis

Posted by Liz on 23rd Dec 2023

Picked up a pair of these early last season thinking I'd rarely get to use them. They ended up being my most used ski last season. It took a day or two to figure out how to ski them, coming from having to be in the back seat a bit in powder. But wow, you can actually charge in these skis, and just carve up the powder. Even in just 1-2" of freshies, these skis are awesome. Super happy with them, and hopefully will get them out a ton again this season.

    196 praxis protest

I was blown away the first time I rode the Protest. I went from a traditional camber/sidecut ski to this hybrid super steed. I could slash turns doing fifty in two feet of pow! That was better than ten years ago.... I am on my second pair now, and looking to get a shorter pair for touring. I summited the top of Shuksan last winter, and had to sidestep down this steep coulie, because I was skiing on a traditional sidecut ski. All I could think of was "I wish I was on the Protest"! This is more of an all-mountain ski than one would initially believe, given its fattie shape.
