She‑Shredz and Praxis Skis announce the launch of Valkyrie, a new daily driver for women who charge. The Valkyrie is an all‑mountain ski built by hand in Tahoe and designed for the women who have been riding men’s skis because nothing built for them could keep up. Valkyrie gives aggressive women skiers a high‑performance option engineered specifically for the way they ski — powerful, stable, and fast to react when terrain changes instantly.
The goal of this ski design is to create a ski that fills a long‑standing gap in the women’s category. Valkyrie will be available in 160, 166, 172, and 178 cm, all built on a 100 mm waist with a 15‑meter turning radius at the 166 cm length. The ski is constructed with the Praxis enduro wood core; a blend of maple, ash, and aspen, engineered for strength, weight balance, dampening, and performance. The center backbone of the core is built from ash for stability, pop and durability, the binding zone is reinforced with maple for power transfer, and the remainder is made from aspen to keep the ski responsive without adding unnecessary weight. This blend of hardwoods creates a construction that holds steady at speed, absorbs vibration, and still reacts instantly when the terrain demands it. Each pair is finished with a full wrap heavy duty metal edge and hand‑built in Tahoe by Praxis Skis, known for small‑batch craftsmanship and precision.
The artwork was created by South Lake Tahoe artist Samantha Adams, whose work anchors the visual identity of the ski and the campaign built around the question: Ladies, why are you still riding men’s skis? Don’t you think you deserve better?
This release highlights the collaboration between She‑Shredz and Praxis Skis, the craftsmanship behind the build, and the demand from women who have long relied on men’s or unisex skis for performance. “Valkyrie is built for the women who charge — the ones who ski steep, ski fast, and need equipment that reacts as quickly as they do,” said the She‑Shredz founder.
